Project Manager

“We have a problem Houston.”

Okay, maybe it's not that large of a scale but it was bigger than expected.

The house is in sort of an upheaval at the moment, as we’re in the middle of a fix-it from water damage.  The problem was because of a leak from the shower inside the wall, which we took care of a few months ago.  (I think I told you about that.)

The phrase "bathroom break" took on a whole new meaning last week when we noticed something happening to the royal throne.  You could feel the floor giving way and the hopper was sinking!  This caused several large holes in the floor so repairs really couldn’t wait.

The wood had to be replaced and the project has turned into something more than expected.  It’s been three days without a bathroom (literally) in the house and I’m being a helpmate to get it done asap.  Thankfully only the water in there is off and the kitchen is still up and running.

Hubby's making great headway and our newspaper template for the replacement flooring worked great!  Now we just have to get everything in place, nailed, tacked or glued down and back in order.

Even though I haven't been able to do my regular post, I wanted to share this with you that gives testimony of what we've been studying about relationships.

Before we knew that we needed a new floor, God knew and set things in order for blessings on this project before we were ever born.  He is ready to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus if we only seek Him. (Philippians 4:19)

From the start of the bathroom episode(s) we have asked the Lord to be the project manager by seeking His guidance, wisdom and knowledge in making sure everything goes well.  He has heard our prayers and was faithful in giving us favor with the purchases including the vinyl being on a manager's special sale.

Think on This Challenge:

Are you the type of person that just jumps in on a project without consulting anyone or taking the time to "think it through" before tackling it?

When was the last time you asked God to show you how to do something?  Can you recall ever including Him on a How-To or DIY project?  You can be sure He has a few tricks of the trade or "secrets" that are on the tip of His tongue waiting to be shared if only someone would ask!

Our think on this challenge is to do a check on what we've let God be a part of when it comes to "projects."

Let God be the project manager over everything that is going on, even the things that don't think are important by asking for the Holy Spirit's help. He’s waiting to show us great and mighty things we did not know!

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”
(Jeremiah 33:2 AMPC)

No matter how big or small the problem, God wants to be a part of it.  When you are in a relationship with someone they care about everything that happens in your life.  That's how God feels about you.  If you let Him, God will reveal things you didn't know and direct you to places where you will receive favor.

As for the kitties, don’t worry we're in "ca-paw-ble" hands and have a great supervisor over the project!
