Christmas Proclamation

Merry Christmas and God's Abounding Favor for the New Year!

This Christmas, let us rejoice in song and praise for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ –

“… and Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.”  (Luke 1: 46-47)

Until next time, Favored Blessings!

Why We Celebrate Christmas

Peace, Love, Joy &  Hope
Lighting the way to Christmas as a reminder of why we celebrate.

We celebrate the gift of God’s Son Jesus – “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (from Isaiah 9:6)

We celebrate PEACE that comes through reconciliation with God through what Jesus has done for us on the cross – “… we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” (from Romans 5:1)

We celebrate great JOY for the blessing of a life of God’s favor to those who believe in Jesus Christ as God's Son – “I came that they who believe in Me may have life and have it abundantly.” (from John 10:10)

We celebrate the LOVE of God – “… God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.” (from John 1:17)

We celebrate the promises of God with HOPE – “… and His name will be the hope of all the world.” (from Matthew 12:21)

So, my friend, why are you celebrating Christmas?

Until next time, Favored Blessings!

Giving Light to the Least of These

These past few weeks have been quite exhausting dragging out decorations from all sorts of places that I never thought they would be.  Putting up festive lights, creating fun budget friendly displays, sprucing up the house and scheduling in all the things we want to see or do this Christmas season were added to the daily list of "musts" that already packed our days.  You would think I would know better and not fall into the same old trap year after year.

No matter how organized I am or much I want to cut back, it seems other things creep into the "main event" leaving little time for the spiritual life I want to live or reflect.  Do you find that to be true in your world as well?

I am well aware of how getting ready for the holidays can cause a person's temper to ignite from all the activities, and no one wants to be around when that happens.  There is a good remedy for preventing seasonal stress, overload or burn-out, and that is keeping a flame burning bright for the Savior ... the real reason for the Christmas celebration.

Our Heavenly Father is ready to put His favor on us so that we don't end up "burning the holiday candle" on both ends so to speak, but we have to put our focus back on God and others before He can.

Whatever plans we make, the Light of God needs to be burning so bright from us, that our testimony does not get ripped apart with all the gift wrapping when things get a little out of control!  That will take Holy Spirit focused living and God's Daily Favor in order to be achieved!

Lesson Learned

Several years ago, I learned a valuable lesson on real seasonal 'burn-out", when God turned a bad decision to shop on a holiday into something quite wonderful.  He also knew that the information I gained from my brief encounter with "Scott" would serve me well when a situation I was confronted with in 2021 became a reality in my own neighborhood.

Thankfully, the "least of these" lesson recorded in Matthew 25:40 was engrafted into my heart.  Being led by the Holy Spirit, I responded without hesitation and did not miss what I had in the past.

This holiday season prayerfully seek the Lord as to what you can do for others in your community as well as your loved ones.  Read more about my encounter with Scott and what you can do to reflect the Season of Light, which is Christmas, in my teaching "Start A Soul Fire."

"... and the King will answer and say to them, Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers and sisters, you did it unto Me."  (from Matthew 25: 31-44 NLT)  Read what the people did that caused them to be blessed (shown favor) by God.

Until next time, favor giving to those in need.

Shielded by Favor

If I were to ask a group of people whether or not they would appreciate a little extra attention and kindness thrown their way from a boss, co-worker, friend or loved one, do you think anyone would turn it down?  Of course not.

Who in their right mind doesn't want to be favored?  I'd say -
Nobody!  Everyone wants good things to come their way.  Regardless of age, we all could use some extra attention concerning favor when it comes to the desires, wants and needs in our life.

Did you realize that as a child of the Living God, the righteous have a shield of favor surrounding them at all times?   It's true, but most don't realize this benefit of salvation let alone know how to walk in God's supernatural favor.

For some time people have been telling me that they feel the devil is having a "field day" in their lives and that nothing is going as planned.  It's no secret that the enemy is always on the lookout for an easy target, but how many realize that their confession is actually activating the power of satan to come against them.

While reviewing some scriptures this passage in Psalm came to my attention.  After my reading, as a reminder of the Promises of God through His favor, I felt led to share three of my archived teachings on this subject.

The Favor Shield Weapon  (concerning finances and trials)

Paths of Lights (so appropriate for this time of year)

Favor Surrounds Me (one of our most read posts of all time)

I pray that these lessons will be an encouragement and reignite your faith as you go through these trying times.  No matter what things look like my favored friends, keep a watch over your confessions (don't speak against what God's word says) and never give in to the enemy.  Trust God and believe in His promises to shield you in every situation.

"For You (God), bless the Righteous, O Lord;
You cover them with favor as a shield." Psalm 5:12

Until next time, Favored Blessings!

P.S.  The world is experiencing the most difficult times in history.  People are looking for something or someone to believe in that will bring them hope.  You have the opportunity to be that someone!  Be an encouragement to others by sharing this gospel message of faith and favor!

Thanks Be to God

As I look back on the year, it inspires me to give thanks for the DFB followers.  At times when I didn't know how I would make it, your faithful prayers, love and God's grace, gave my family victory through our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.  Thank you so much for your loving words of encouragement and remembering to pray for us.

Praying that you all have a peaceful holiday knowing that with God all things are possible as we wait on His glorious timing.

Honoring Our Veterans and Troops

Join us in honoring our veterans and troops!

                     Thank You for our FREEDOM!

A heartfelt message to our brave soldiers who served faithfully and those still in active duty - we salute and pray for you!  We are grateful for each of you, but even more than our appreciation is God's unwavering love for you.

No matter where you are or what you may be experiencing, God sees your tears, knows your fears and promises to stand by you in every situation; all you need to do is call out to Him.

When the battle seems to hard, He will fight for you.  Run to His mighty comforting arms for every need.  He will see you through it all.

I'd like to share a song a from years ago that has helped many individuals, whether in the military or not, during difficult times.

Dear Soldier, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to keep America a free nation.  By God's grace, mercy and favor, may it always be so.

"YOU (GOD) keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book." (Psalm 56:8 NLT)

"I (Jesus) have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me.  Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NLT)

It's Not Luck, but God's Favor

 Welcome to Daily Favor where

                        "faith and favor meet."

That's right!  Favor has nothing to do with "luck" or destiny, but has everything to do with the blessings of God!  If you want to know about such things, you're in the right place!

You have just logged into a teaching blog on learning how to access the favor of God and how to walk in it daily.

Every child of God experiences the goodness of the Lord.  Some refer to it as blessings, but in reality it's His Daily Favor and that's why I created this website.
