Scratching Work

Sometimes it’s hard to see blessings in things that happen, and even harder to recognize “how in the world is this God’s favor” on a situation.

There’s no way we can fully understand why things happen in life, but because of God’s grace we can put our trust in Him to see us through each trial.

Hello everyone, I guess you’ve been wondering how physical therapy for my arms is going.  I’ve had to cancel one appointment due to weather, but things seem to be back on schedule.

To be honest, I haven’t stuck to it the way I should mainly because I’ve forgotten how to do some of the exercises.  When I look at the diagrams the therapist gave me, they don’t look “normal” even though he made me do them.  Does that make sense?

Be sure to read News from Fay, updates and visit the Q & A or other sections.

It Never Fails

For the most part though I’ve been behaving myself, not something I can attest to for one of the rescue kitties.  This is one of those things that “just happened” and you have to deal with it when it does.  Let me explain.

It’s not unusual for one of the cats to climb on the computer and lay across the keyboard.  No, I don’t encourage that behavior, but trying to keep them off becomes a game.

If you’re a cat owner you can relate to placing beds around your work area, and doing everything possible to ensure your furry baby is comfortable.  This is especially true for new rescues or those in recovery so I can keep an eye on them.

However, it never fails that they soon make their way across your arms and on to the keyboard.  Somehow, they access things in your computer you never knew were there, and trying to remove it while looking over them is practically impossible.

Rescuing Israel

His name is “Izzy”, aka Israel Aldi – Israel because we hadn’t used the letter “I” yet to name a rescue, and Aldi because he was rescued from a dumpster in the back of their store.

Giving the rescues a middle name is a way we remember specific information, so it works for us.  Plus, it reminds me to pray for the nation of Israel daily.

When Izzy is with me, for some reason he has to sit on the computer.  I’m sorry, but it’s actually hilarious how quickly he maneuvers around my work station before I can stop him.

He’s the only one that literally drapes himself over the screen from behind and dangles his legs across the front blocking my vision for typing.   Once he sees the cursor – forget it, work has come to a stop.

This cat was one of our smallest and youngest rescues; he pretty much thinks I’m his momma allowing me to examine him easily on a regular basis.  However, he has grown into a super huge baby with rather large claws, in which he recently used on my left arm.  Anyway, he either was ticked off or something spooked him.  I don't have a clue as to what happened, but suddenly there was blood everywhere!

His freaking out left me with six deep scratch wounds about seven inches long. I didn’t need stitches, but my forearm was pretty torn up making it really painful to type even with the bandages and full arm covering.

Scratching Work or Goofing Off?

Being a lefty, I might be out of commission for extended periods of writing during one sitting.   That may not be such a bad idea considering today is National Goof off Day.

Mind you I’ve never taken advantage of that particular holiday, but I think you’d agree “scratching work” as usual happens to be legitimate for a brief time.

Thanks so much for your daily prayers and faithfulness. You can be sure that I’m praying Kingdom promises from the Lord for preserving my life through healing,  protection and ministering to my spirit during things that happen that I don't quite understand.

“You have granted me life and favor,
and Your care has preserved my spirit.” (Job 10:12)

There are times in life when our bodies simply need a period of healing.  For us to receive this blessing from the Lord we cannot feel bad or guilty over stepping back from some of our responsibilities in order for it to happen.

If you are in need of physical, emotional or spiritual healing please click on the scriptures for healing link on this site.  Spend time in prayer and believe God heard your plea.  Meditate on God’s Word and speak life into your situation by quoting the scriptures out loud.

Until next time, believe God for healing favor!

Twelve Ways to Know if God is Speaking

Welcome to Daily Favor where
"faith and favor meet."
Have you ever questioned the voices you hear in your head?  I used to ask myself, "Is that God, the devil or me?"  Through time spent in God's Word, prayer, fellowship with the Lord, much research and the help of the Holy Spirit I found answers.

How do we actually know if God is speaking to us?  So glad you asked!

In an article I wrote entitled "Was that God?" I share twelve ways to recognize whether or not God is trying to get your attention for a direction you need to take (where there is favor).

Take notes, share them in a Bible study group or use for your own personal growth.  Spend quality time learning and studying about the favor of God.

Then be sure to check out the current trending favored article(s) on the right, or the top interests of fellow believers under the most popular read posts.  Subject, musical artists or author word searches are listed at the bottom of this site.

Use the Bible study topics from the topical word search for small group or individual spiritual growth.

Browse through the hundreds of articles and read more about how you too can live in the Favor of God.  (Click here: Tell Me)

How Big Is Your Vision?

What do you see when you look at this photo?

You know what I see?

Impossible dreams and extraordinary vision being lived to the fullest by people just like you!

How quickly the year is progressing with spring just around the corner.  I love the beauty and wonder of all God's creation as it welcomes and renews life all around us.

It's a time to celebrate the newness of life by taking action toward making our dreams become reality just like those "creations" we see in the photo.  Yep, that's not a painting - it's a live photograph of someone's vision becoming real!

Thanks for joining us on Daily Favor Blog.

Be sure to read News from Fay, updates and visit the Q & A or other sections.

This may sound strange to you, but one way I envision the glory of God and His matchless grace, mercy and favor is to visit Home and Garden Shows when I can.  They don't necessarily have to be local, but at times I have visited other states or surrounding areas such as the Philadelphia Flower Show

Everywhere you look when you are at those events you can see the gifts, talents and vision God has given individuals being manifested in their lives.  Seeing what can be done with the materials the Lord has provided helps us expand our own dreams knowing that if they did it, so can we.

You Were Created to Win

Learning and observing what others have done inspires me to be more and do more with the gifts God has given me, not just in this area, but in every aspect of life.

It gives me strength to step out and try new things that I never did in the past, such as enter a flower and garden competition

The photograph on the left was entitled: "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and it earned second place in the Artistic Division.  True it wasn't on the level of the professional exhibitors, but I didn't even think it was something I could do let alone actually compete and win.  It's been ten years now, and I'm still entering new items or events!

Whether I win or not, I'm learning and growing in my gifts, while meeting new people from surrounding counties.  When I step out in faith God graces me causing favor to come in unexpected ways.

Let me ask you this ...  How big is your vision?  Is it as big as what God sees in your future?   God already knows what He put inside of you to accomplish great and amazing things.

It's up to you to find out what He wants to do.  God desires to tell you of the new things that are about to spring forth, where doors will open in your favor. (see Isaiah 42:9 and Isaiah 43:19

Go to the Lord in prayer; He promises to listen to your ideas and hearts desire.  Even more, God wants to fulfill them.

"I know the plans I have in mind for you, declares the LORD; they are plans for peace, not disaster, to give you a future filled with hope.  When you call Me and come and pray to Me, I will listen to you." (Jeremiah 29:11-12 CEB)

For those in the Philadelphia area theirs (Philadelphia Home Show/Flower Show) just happens to be this weekend (March 2nd - 10th, 2019).  It's going to be amazing with floral designers from 23 countries competing for the FTD World Cup.

If there is any way you can attend, you won't be disappointed!  Here's a quick 30 second peek.

Theme: Flower Power

However, if Philly isn't possible seek out an event such as a flower or home show in your area.  I challenge you to take notice of what God is doing in your neck of the woods with the people in your community.

God is doing a good work ... don't you see it?  It will change how you view your own dreams and possibly encourage you to dream bigger with God!

Until next time, God's favor can handle your vision!
