Q & A

Questions & Answers

I will be as up front as I can be, but I do not give personal information out over the web.  If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section or email me.
New Questions are added at the top of the page.

Have you taken all the weekly challenges?  Yes, some many times.

Why do you promote other people on your site?  I do it for several reasons.  First, no one is an island and gets anywhere by themselves.  Second, it's Biblical to give honor where honor is due.  Third, so many have helped me. I've gained inspiration in learning from others and want to do what I can to say thank you.

How are you qualified to talk about the things you do on your websites and blogs?  I have many degrees, certificates, diplomas and awards in various fields, I just don't talk about them.

Have you ever written any books?  Yes, but they are out of print being so long ago. I am in the process of getting new books published.

When did you start the top ten list? At the end of April 2014.  I saw so much competition going on between countries, cities and states that I thought it would be fun and encourage people.  It has been retired for the time being.

Do you have a television? Yes and no. We only have one local Christian station that feeds from somewhere else.  So, basically no.  We don't have cable and never have either.  If I learn about a program it's from You Tube.  Haven't had one in over 15 years. The TV is used for DVD's and the cats!

Is this blog just for believers?  No, it is for everyone.

Do we have to do all the challenges?  You do what you feel led to do, but you can benefit from them all.

Why do you list extra stats for New Jersey?  It's my home state and we're kind of competitive.

Do you always use the NKJV of the Bible? Generally, but I do use other translations when I feel it gives light to a verse.

Why are your blogs in large font? Having visually impaired family members made me more aware of meeting the needs of all who wish to learn from my writing.

Why are your posts so long?  Each post is actually a teaching lesson that is designed to help you throughout the week.  It is usually divided into sections so you can work on one or two a day if desired.

Why do you only post once a week?  I have found that people tend to follow a topic or subject when it is only given once a week, just like television programs.  They look forward to the post and don’t feel overwhelmed by having to catch up on back posts.

Why do you post on Friday?  Studies have shown that people catch up on their Internet activity over the weekend.  Having a fresh post for them to begin the week with helps them to actually walk it out, because they already have an agenda when the week begins.

Why do you have a music video at the end of each post?  The Bible tells us that praise is the highest form of worship, so I like to end each post with that incentive.

Are you a real counselor and a teacher?  Yes.

Are the “what’s new this week” articles yours?  Yes, they are articles from other places that I write on the web.

Why do you use a pen name? It allows me to write on other venues and in various topics.   Plus it’s fun.

Why don't you give your husband's name?  He doesn't want to be Mr. Favored1.  I'll share it when he says I can.

You don't share all your locations, why?  We want to go back :)
