Hello Friends, just a few words to update you on my husband’s condition.
As you know on January 5th he suffered a brain bleed; what is now known is that he actually had a stroke while driving, which caused an accident involving two other vehicles.
He was air lifted to a hospital 4 hours away for immediate surgery, but it couldn’t take place due to the swelling on his brain. The window for the operation was four hours! Through God’s miracle working grace and your prayers he is alive!
Although there have been complications, he was only in NeuroICU for five days, and throughout his hospital stay he was moved four times. This was terribly difficult not knowing what was happening and not being with him.
He is now home from the hospital for the time being. When he was released from the hospital, he was supposed to be taken to a full-time rehabilitation center. His overall health delayed that from happening and instead he was brought home under my 24/7 care until he has heart surgery.
We are waiting for doctors to set things up for it asap, but this too is another aspect for prayer. The surgery cannot be done in our town but perhaps 2-4 hours away. At the time I have no way of being with him for this either.
After the operation we hope to have him in physical, speech, cardio and occupational therapies for several months. I am praying he will be near home so I can be with him throughout the day.
God has been so good in answering our prayers and I am watching Him work miracles through my husband’s life. His vision is getting better and his strength is returning.
I am working with him on memory and recognition skills along with brain activities that have been quite productive. How precious and heartwarming to know that he has not forgotten the words “I love you!”
We are so thankful for your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for both of us and the financial matters. The airvac bill and ambulance transport has been estimated to be around $100,000 alone. Due to the accident, we also need a vehicle since it didn’t have collision because of its age and miles.
It may look pretty bleak at the moment, but God has been by our side the entire time comforting and encouraging us. He is our ROCK .. our refuge and strength in whom we put our faith and trust. (Psalm 46:1)
There is so much more I need to share ... miracle working things, but that will come in due time. I do know that Jesus has promised to work things out for His glory and our good, so be prepared for some wonderful reports!
We love you so much and thank God for you in our prayers!

DeleteI know what you are going through as I have been there in 2019. It's going to be a little while and a haul to get through ti all as I am still going through mine too. Keeping both of you in my thoughts and prayers and so sorry that I missed this post. I don't read as much anymore and am not on the computer much anymore due to my eyesight that I am left with now. Hoping things get better for him.
