Happy New Year Friends! How exciting to see you have chosen to visit on this first day of the new year!
So, what do you want to achieve over the coming twelve months? Like that's a question you never hear on January first right? I'm going to ask it anyway if you don't mind, mainly because it's what I've been reasoning with for months.
Have you giving it much thought or are you still thinking about the disappointments, heartaches and goals you planned to accomplish but sadly didn't? We've all spent some time on those chapters in our lifebook I suppose; probably more than we'd admit.
Well, God has something to say about what's happening in our life and He let us know through His word. He has so many wonderful things in store for each one of you, despite how the situation looks.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)
Knowing that things don't have to remain the way they are, and that God really cares that good things happen should give us great hope for the future. Seriously, how many people do you know are planning good things for your entire life? The best we can hope for through friends or family are a few nice parties or celebrations spanned over the course of many years.
It's time for a change ... good changes that bring joy to the Heavenly Father and His children. Are you ready for some new beginnings? I am and hope you will take that journey with me on DFB.
Make a decision to begin each new day in a joyous time of fellowship with the Lord through prayer, meditation, reading of the scriptures and songs of thanksgiving. Believe and expect good things to happen in your life.
Actively put your trust and faith in the "good plans and good future" God has prepared for you before birth. Decide that this is the year to will trust and obey the Lord, so He can work out the favored plans He has for specifically designed just for you.
